Almost as important as the actual service. These steps are crucial to having the best results.
Pre-Treatment Care
Avoid Tretinoin & Exfoliating Skincare 3-5 days Prior
this includes all AHAs, BHAs, tretinoin, retinol, etc.
No Waxing, Threading or Shaving 48 hours Before
Any of these things can cause unnessary irritation and redness, and cause products to sting more than they should
Limit Sun Exposure & No Sunburn
Avoid excessive sun exposure and PLZ no tanning beds EVER, at least 5 days before your treatment to prevent irritation and hyperpigmentation. If you arrive with sunburn, I won't be able to perform your service.
Shower Before Rather Than After
A hot shower right after your facial treatment is not advisable due to many reasons including the potential of irriation from the hot water but also washing away the serums you just paid for during your service.
Preferably Arrive with Clean Skin
I realize this may not always be the case, but it is preferred to arrive with clean skin. Please put on moisturizer though because this will make me thing your skin is dryer than it may be.
Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water before your appointment to help your skin absorb treatments better.
Consult with Esthetician
Please advise me with any allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions.
Post-Treatment Care
Keep Skin Hydrated
Use gentle, hydrating moisturizer and serums to keep your skin nourished.
Avoid Gym, Sweating & Heat
Absolutely no intense workouts, saunas or hot showers for 24 hours to prevent irritation.
Avoid Touching Your Face
Your skin is more sensitive after a facial, so avoid unncessary touching to prevent breakouts and irritation.
Skip Makeup For At Least 24 Hours
Let your skin breathe and absorb the benefits of your facial. If necessary, use minimal, non-comedogenic makeup, or a tinted SPF.
No Exfoliating for 3-5 Days
Avoid tretinoin, scrubs, acids and retinoils until your skin has healed.
Avoid Sun Expsoure & Use SPF Daily
Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun after a facial. You must apply SPF every day and every 2 hours, and wear a hat if you MUST be outside.
